My maytag series 2000 front loader washer made a loud bang the other night and the machine was unplugged but the door remained locked. i will try and unlock it via the lower panel access. what code is e2 f3 flashing on machine.. Front loaders esp' don't unlock unless the cycle is done. is there a chance your cycle knob is stuck on "rinse" or "spin"? if that doesn't work, you may want to unplug and plug in the washer to kind of "reboot" it.. Try to start another cycle and if the same issue happens and the washer won't unlock, you'll need to replace the lock assembly. it's actually a fairly easy part to replace if you're handy. you'll need to unplug the washer and open the door to start with..
